Making Memories...

This week I am grateful I am lucky enough to be a Mum... why? because I get to make memories for my kids.. (Em reminded me of that on Friday when I was cursing baking and creating for my daughters 5th Birthday).

I never thought they remembered all the effort then Kitty said "Mum you make my birthdays the best" and actually described her last one and what she loved (so didn't think she remembered) THEN Harrington shouted at her (not so nice the shouting bit) " no my Thomas Party was the best!!"..

Tina also reminded me that it is just a little fun to play stylist for the day...So this weekend I am Grateful I did Kitty's Cars Party for her.. Pictures to come..

  1. Happy birthday to your daughter Tessa! My daughter turned 5 this week too and yes I was surprised she remembered last years cake and all the little bits and pieces we did for her special day. This year she chose an Echidna cake!! It is sometimes an effort, but certainly worth the big smile on their little faces!! alisha (sorella & me) x

  2. Ooh I love kid's birthday parties. I must admit I can go a little over-board! They only happen once a year though and we love making them feel extra extra special and loved. I think my husband and I are always up really late the night before decorating the cake, sharing memories of when our birthday girl/boy was born and giving thanks for the privilege to watch them grow up. And giggling uncontrollably because we're dog tired. And there's always a wine (or 3) involved. Yes, we love birthday party preparations!
