Pantry Perfection

OK so I said earlier in the week I would show you my pantry and explain how cheap and easy it is to make it look cute, fab and ORGANISED..

Here it is.. from the front.. (the big basket is my gift wrap collection.Mmm washi tape and cute ribbons, vintage buttons.. oh sorry was getting carried away)

 and here are the sides.. the less used bits and less purty :)

So as you can see I am all about the old and the new.. I shop at Vinnies for old containers (like the port box etc) and big glass jars of any shape for dried goods. I have two medicine cabinets as such.. the box at easy access is plasters and stuff the kids can't kill themselves with then the locked one up the top is from here and has prescription meds and the dogs wormers etc. Baskets separate sweet spices from savoury and those little lockers at the bottom are $5 from Officeworks and one is named "gizmos and gadgets" AKA headphones iPods, phone chargers etc and the other "lotions and potions" AKA sunscreen, paw paw, lip balm etc for the kids to help themselves.

Down the bottom I keep the less interesting stuff like re cycling (the tall thin one we chuck the paper in) and bits for household chores, oh and my fave mags for recipes (these I keep in mag holders so they are easy to get out). The baskets are both Officeworks and in the big one I have storage in storage just so I can compartmentalise even further!!..

Then comes the fun bit.. labels and tags and mixing it up.. I reckon each tin or jar has cost me about $2-3 max from Vinnies, the labels and tags are all stock standard stationery at Officeworks again and I get a few coloured ink pads to jazz up the scheme. My newest fave is the Martha Stewart Range there though as she does chalkboard labels (currently in the playroom), the bookplates (see that treats one?) just peel them off and stick them on... AND the best, most simplest and why has no one done before with a sticky back?.. the menu or notes holder I have above the calendar!

So what you waiting for dust our the cupboards, start pottering around your local Officeworks and Charity Shop and get creative.. its an excuse to buy stamps and gift tags errr hello?
