The New Year..

I have been off the chart busy since October and then spent the last 3 weeks doing some seriously beautiful thinking, planning and reflecting. It has me filled with excitement and passion for 2015 and I have a few blog posts to share those thoughts over but having just caught up on some blog reading I thought I would borrow Bron's questions and answer them to start as they were brilliant..

1. What word do you think best summed up 2014?

Learning.. I have listened and learnt so am now older and wiser, humbler and happier, lonelier and loving it.

2. What did you do for the first time this year?

Said 'no' without doubting myself.. quite a few times

3. What is one thing that happened that will have lasting consequences?

Friendships, the ones made stronger have become truly amazing to me and the ones lost taught me lessons and are not being missed one iota.

4. Was there anything you wish you’d done differently? Why? How?

I wish I had started my hard scheduling earlier in the year, it was a game changer and I am refining it for 2015 as I type..

I wish I had taken a holiday 2.5yrs between the most recent and the last was WAY too long. Time out with my family is precious and having just had it I realise I must do it more often even if not in the budget.

5. Do you have a favourite moment from the year? What made it special?

I have so many a few standouts would be the kids becoming Nippers, My Dexter coming to heal my heart after loosing my Obi, attending my first workshop at The School, Cherie coming to Sydney for 4 days, Meeting some favourite people at Pro Blogger and getting to soak her in/up and starting The Cult List with Kate

6. What lessons has 2014 taught you about yourself? About others?

To just trust myself and not be influenced by anyone I don't know or admire. It has taught me I have a strong moral compass and good gut instincts and that when I truly put it out there I get the response I need.

7. How will the lessons from this past year change the way you approach the new year?

I will be more confident and self assured. I know what I CAN do and will do it well.. bigger and better than before.

8. What do you most want to do in 2015?

Concentrate on 4 key areas.. family, friendships, my brands (DTLL & TCL) and my health

9. What do you most want to change about yourself? The world?

I rid myself of this over the last few years and I wish I could rid the world of it..  Negativity. It has no place anywhere..

10. What one word do you hope will sum up what you hope to achieve in 2015?

GROWTH

So what are your plans for the 2015? I don't do big resolutions anymore but I do lots of little more achievable ones, I even set certain ones for certain dates etc..

  1. What an awesome year this past one has been for you, for us for all. The lows fed the highs and the highs healed the lows and I cannot think of anyone else I would rather face a new year with than you my gorgeous friend xx

  2. What an awesome year 2014 was to propel you into 2015 to be in a position to grab onto everything you hope and plan for.

  3. Gosh that was a big year, mate - but you just sailed it like a boss. I honestly can't imagine a year full of more growth than 2014, but if you reckon you cash do it, then indeed it can be done. I'm so happy to have a ring-side seat to all your wonderfulness. Cheers to that, lovely Tess. x
